Jordan Rakei Announces 'A Safe Place To Be Wild'
Jordan Rakei has announced his seventh album, A Safe Place To Be Wild, and it arrives on 30 October via Fontana.
The record follows 2024's The Loop and its 2025 deluxe edition. Rakei, the Brisbane-born, London-based multi-instrumentalist and singer, has spent his albums turning inward. His themes have been emotional growth, family and the larger questions underneath them. The title suggests he will keep exploring that ground, with perhaps a little more abandon.
The tour that goes with it is his biggest headline run yet. European dates start on 27 March 2027 and run to 14 April. The UK follows, with Bristol Beacon, Manchester's Albert Hall and, on 24 April, London's Alexandra Palace, his largest show to date.
This summer he is also supporting Teddy Swims, and Loyle Carner at Kirkstall Abbey in Leeds on 1 August. Carner is a natural pairing, since Rakei sang on his track Ottolenghi.
Amsterdam: Gashouder, 13 April 2027, 20:00, with Olive Jones in support. Tickets via Ticketmaster.
