Gregor Hilden Organ Trio Returns

The Gregor Hilden Organ Trio has released Down Home Blues, featuring Big Daddy Wilson, on September 25 via Acoustic Music Records. The Münster-based guitarist—known for his fluid blend of jazz, blues, and funk—delivers a 12-track, 67-minute album that moves from Horace Silver's "Doodlin'" to Joe Walsh's "Rocky Mountain Way" with Wilson's gravelly vocals threading through half the set.

Hilden's chemistry with organ and drums has long defined his live sound, and this studio session captures that groove intact. Tracks like "Funky Times" and "Beale Street Strut" showcase Hilden's compositions, while nods to Peter Green and the blues tradition anchor the record in familiar terrain without settling there.

The album is available on Qobuz in hi-res formats.
