Sampa the Great's Zamrock Reclamation

Sampa the Great has announced Nu Zamrock, her third studio album, set for release on October 30th. The project stems from a surprising discovery last year: her blood uncle George Kunda (Groovy Joe) was a founding member of WITCH, Zambia's psychedelic rock pioneers who created the Zamrock sound.

The album, executive produced by Cadenze, extends that legacy forward. Lead single "Simon Says" is out now, alongside last year's "Can't Hold Us." Sampa describes the work as not nostalgia but "the future remembering where it came from." A recent Wonderland interview positions the album as a defiant revival, connecting heritage and legacy into new purpose.

Nu Zamrock arrives October 30th via Loma Vista.
