Telemakus Returns with Eight Ring Revival

LA-based pianist and producer Telemakus has announced Eight Ring Revival, a double LP arriving October 20 that takes its name from the eight silver rings he now wears to prevent finger hyperextension caused by Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. Diagnosed with the connective tissue disorder a few years ago, Telemakus had to fundamentally reimagine his relationship with the piano.

The album's lead single "2054" is a funky, squelchy two-minute instrumental featuring Karriem Riggins on drums, while the LP includes contributions from Flying Lotus, Liv.e, Sparklmami, and Miguel Atwood-Ferguson. An earlier EP, Seven of Eight, released in 2024, offered the first seven tracks of what became this larger project.
