Doechii Teases New Single Following BET Win

Doechii used her BET Her Award acceptance speech on June 28 to announce that new music is on the way, marking her first single since releasing "Girl, Get Up" with SZA in December 2025.

From the stage, she told the audience: "New music is coming soon, and it's going to kill everybody. Don't ever play with me." The award recognized her collaboration with labelmate SZA, who shares the Top Dawg Entertainment roster with her alongside Kendrick Lamar.

She also performed in the star-studded tribute honoring Lauryn Hill during the inaugural Living Legend Icon Award presentation, alongside SZA, Tems, Nas, Queen Latifah, and others. With a Grammy win for Best Music Video already under her belt this year, the Tampa-raised rapper continues building momentum ahead of her still-unannounced debut studio album.
