Telemakus Returns with Eight Ring Revival

LA-based pianist and producer Telemakus has announced Eight Ring Revival, a double LP born from his experience with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, which severely affected his ability to play with his hands. The album features collaborations with Flying Lotus, Liv.e, Karriem Riggins, Sparklmami, and Miguel Atwood-Ferguson.

Lead single "2054" is a two-minute instrumental featuring Riggins on drums and multi-instrumentalist Chino Corvalán. The project documents a creative recovery process in which the 26-year-old Indian-American artist learned to compose using alternative methods, including his feet, while wearing eight silver rings to prevent finger hyperextension.

The announcement comes as Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey crosses a billion dollars at the box office—a timely coincidence for an artist who shares a name with Homer's character.
