Richard Spaven's Light of Day

Richard Spaven released Light of Day on 24 July via Edition Records, marking a new chapter in his signing to the label. The drummer has been a prolific presence across two decades of UK crossover jazz, soul and electronica, remaining a first-call sideman to Gregory Porter, Bill Laurance and Loyle Carner.

The album features Stuart McCallum on guitar and Yves Fernandez on bass, alongside contributions from Petter Eldh, Verneri Pohjola, Nils Petter Molvaer, and Wildchild. The music is built from the inside out—groove shaping harmony, texture shaping form.
