Airelle Besson at Jazz à Porquerolles

French trumpeter Airelle Besson and accordionist Lionel Suarez performed at Jazz à Porquerolles, with the concert broadcast on ARTE Concert in mid-August.

The duo continues to tour their album Blossom, a project nominated in the Concert category at the 2026 Victoires du Jazz. Besson herself won Instrumentalist of the Year at the ceremony, held in May at the Maison de la Radio in Paris.

Their partnership explores the timbral possibilities between trumpet and accordion, instruments not often paired in contemporary jazz. The duo performs August 13 at PRESENT JAZZ de Forcalquier, with Paris, Nancy, and Strasbourg dates scheduled through fall.
