Adrian Younge and ALA.NI Unveil Decade-Long Collaboration

Adrian Younge and British singer-songwriter ALA.NI have announced Proud of Me, a collaborative album nearly a decade in the making, and released its title track. The project spans several years of ALA.NI's life in Los Angeles, tracing love, longing, grief, and self-discovery.

The collaboration began in 2018 during a studio session in Los Angeles, with the second half completed in 2020 before the pandemic, after which Younge added string arrangements at his Linear Labs studio. The title track was written after ALA.NI learned of her father's cancer diagnosis, and much of the album took shape in the weeks after his passing.

Proud of Me will be released on October 6 via Linear Labs.
