Roger Taylor on Queen's Touring Future
Queen drummer Roger Taylor has suggested that any future touring by the band may ultimately rest with guitarist Brian May, though Taylor himself remains open to performing again.
The comments, made in a new interview, arrive as Taylor prepares for his September UK solo tour supporting Violence Insane in a Beautiful World, his seventh solo album and first since 2021's Outsider. The solo dates—his only UK shows this year—begin September 21 in Newcastle.
Taylor acknowledged that any Queen touring plans would largely depend on his longtime bandmate, a diplomatic framing that leaves the door open without committing to anything concrete. Queen + Adam Lambert last toured in 2023, and speculation about further dates has simmered since.
Taylor's solo tour runs through late September across the UK.
