TC & the Groove Family at Kendal Calling

TC & the Groove Family perform at Kendal Calling tomorrow, 30 July 2026, at 19:00 in Penrith. The nine-piece from Leeds has spent the past few years building a reputation around cross-cultural grooves that pull from Afrobeat, broken beat, jungle, and jazz.

With vocalist Pariss Elektra featured on several of their releases including "Bossfight" and "Duende," the collective moves between tightly arranged studio work and spontaneous live performances. Recent social media posts highlighted their appearance at Love Supreme Festival in early July, where the band performed on the South Downs stage.

The band have previously played Glastonbury, We Out Here, Greenman, Shambala, Boomtown and WOMAD, and their music has received support from Gilles Peterson and Craig Charles on BBC Radio 6.
