Cymande at Nice Jazz Festival

Cymande performed at the Nice Jazz Festival on July 24, bringing their fusion of funk, soul, reggae and Caribbean influences to the Théâtre de Verdure stage at 22:30. The festival, now in its 78th edition and the world's oldest jazz festival, ran from July 23 to 26.

Cymande shared the Friday bill with Busta Rhymes and Noga Erez, part of a program that mixed jazz, soul, hip-hop and funk. The performance followed recent sets at Glastonbury and Central Park in New York before intergenerational audiences.

Led by founding members Patrick Patterson and Steve Scipio, the group has returned with "Renascence," released via BMG.
