Anderson .Paak at North Sea Jazz

Anderson .Paak closes North Sea Jazz's 50th anniversary edition this Sunday as DJ Pee .Wee, taking over the decks for the official NSJ50 Afterparty after the festival wraps in Rotterdam.

His set starts at 14:30 at Rotterdam Ahoy, placing him on the closing day alongside John Legend, Nile Rodgers & CHIC, and Hiromi's Sonicwonder. Each festival day concludes with an afterparty—Questlove on Friday, Gilles Peterson on Saturday—but .Paak's turn as Pee .Wee feels fitting: his relationship with jazz duo DOMi & JD Beck (whose new album drops July 31 via his APESHIT label) and his groove-heavy productions have kept him tethered to the jazz lineage North Sea has championed since 1976.

The festival runs July 10–12 at Rotterdam Ahoy.
